Sheetal Prajapati is a Brooklyn-based educator and artist working as an arts and culture advisor through her consulting agency Lohar Projects. She serves on faculty at the School of Visual Arts (New York) in the Master of Fine Arts program and is a founding board member of Art + Feminism. Represented by Serendipity Literary Agency, she is also currently working on her first two book projects. Previously, Sheetal spent fifteen years developing public engagement, outreach, and artist-centered initiatives at organizations including Pioneer Works (Brooklyn) and The Museum of Modern Art (New York) and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.

As an artist, Sheetal has held residencies at Haystack Mountain School of Craft (Maine), Wassaic Project (New York), Pocoapoco (Oaxaca), and Shristi School (Bangalore) among others. Her work has been presented at Moore College of Design (Philadelphia), Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (New York), and Denny Gallery (New York). She received her MA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA from Northwestern University.
