Established in 2009, Lyrica Baroque is a unique collective of talented musicians who combine the greatest and most compelling aspects of both chamber music and opera. Whether performing their own one-of-a-kind arrangements or classic repertoire, Lyrica Baroque captures the soaring beauty of operatic singing with the exquisite sounds of woodwinds, strings, and piano in interpretations infused with variety and drama. Lyrica Baroque is a two-time winner of Best Chamber Music Performance in Gambit Magazine’s Tribute to the Classical Arts and has collaborated with celebrated organizations such as the Historic New Orleans Collection, New Orleans Friends of Music and the New Orleans Opera Association.

Lyrica Baroque’s instrumental musicians are Benjamin Atherholt, a member of the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra’s bassoon section since 2016, Eric Silberger, violin, Jaren Atherholt, oboe, Daniel Lelchuk, cello, and Bradley Moore, piano. Lyrica Baroque vocalists are soprano Sarah Jane McMahon, who recently made her debut with The San Francisco Symphony and also sang a Gala concert opposite Placido Domingo, and tenor Paul Groves, who just completed his 25th season performing at the Metropolitan Opera and is frequently invited to be a soloist with the world’s top orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, and the Cleveland Orchestra.
