Dean Obeidallah, a former practicing attorney turned comedian/writer, is the host of SiriusXM radio’s daily program “The Dean Obeidallah show,” the first national radio show ever to focus on issues from the Muslim-American point of view. He is also the co-director/co-producer of the comedy documentary, “The Muslims are Coming!” featuring a standup comedy tour of Muslim-American comedians performing free shows across the South and West in the hopes of countering anti-Muslim bigotry. The film features interviews with The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, Soledad O’Brien, comedians Lewis Black, David Cross and many more.

Dean is a columnist for The Daily Beast, a weekly contributor to Opinion section, and has written articles that have appeared in numerous publications including The Atlantic, The Washington Post and The Huffington Post. He can be seen frequently on CNN and MSNBC.  He also co-created the comedy show “Stand up for Peace,” along with Jewish comic Scott Blakeman, which they perform at colleges across the country in in hopes of fostering understanding between Muslim and Jewish-Americans. The co-creator/co-producer of the annual NY Arab-American Comedy Festival, which celebrates its 13th anniversary in 2016, he co-created and co-produced the first ever Muslim standup comedy festival in US history in July 2015.

As a comedian, Dean has appeared on numerous programs, including Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show and “Axis of Evil” special, as well as on ABC’s The View, Good Morning America, and Comics Unleashed.
