Precautionary Closing of Library Due to COVID-19 Exposure

The Smith Memorial Library will be closed starting Monday, Nov. 23, as an employee has been exposed outside of work to someone with a positive COVID-19 diagnosis. The employee has not tested positive for COVID-19 and has had no close contact with the public. Library staff who have had close contact with the employee have been asked not to report to work for the time being, in line with our safety plan; thus we need to suspend library operations during this time.

We expect the closing will remain in effect until at least Nov. 30 when we will re-evaluate the situation in line with our safety plan and health department regulations.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
