“Let’s take it to the woods” … with these words Lewis Miller established the importance of the setting for Chautauqua Institution.

Keeping that goal in mind, Chautauqua Institution has implemented an Honorary and Memorial Tree Program as a way for Chautauquans to honor or remember their loved ones, while helping to maintain the beautiful surroundings that are so important to the Chautauqua experience and ambiance.
