Finding accommodations should be your first priority when planning a visit to Chautauqua. Accommodations can fill up long before gate passes even go on sale in January.
All accommodations within the Institution’s grounds are privately owned except for the Athenaeum Hotel and Bellinger Hall dormitory.
Athenaeum Hotel
A favorite among first-timers and returning patrons alike, the historic Athenaeum Hotel welcomes visitors with lodging that is as comfortable as it is beautiful. Situated on Chautauqua Lake, the Athenaeum offers an environment where guests can rest and relax in close proximity to Chautauqua Institution’s many events and experiences.
Minerva Bed & Breakfast
Spend a night in our new French-inspired bed and breakfast. Each guest starts their day with a delicious breakfast prepared by our in-house chef and their evenings relaxing in our Adirondack chairs in the spacious backyard.

Chautauqua on a Budget is a weeklong dormitory accommodation special that is only available during Week Eight and Week Nine of the Chautauqua season.
