Memo to Traditional Gate Pass (TGP) and Grounds Access Pass (GAP) Holders Regarding June 20 Special Pre-sale
Dear Chautauquans,
We deeply appreciate your kindness and patience over these past few months as we have navigated changing COVID-19 regulations as well as the implementation of new website and ticketing systems. We sincerely regret the inconveniences and frustrations you may have experienced during this time.
As an expression of gratitude for your loyal support, and with new knowledge of reduced state and federal regulations related to the pandemic, there will no longer be an extra ticket fee to Traditional Gate Pass (TGP) holders for the shows listed below. A base-price seat at these events is now included with the Traditional Gate Pass; most events still require seat selection (seat selection remains required for any unvaccinated patrons for all events they wish to attend).
- Chris Thile (June 26)
- An Evening with Michael W. Smith (July 2)
- Alicia Olatuja: “Intuition — Songs from the Minds of Women” (July 7)
- The Hot Sardines (July 9)
- Ranky Tanky (July 14)
- Chanticleer (July 21)
- The Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass (Aug. 11)
- “Ella’s Great American Songbook” with Capathia Jenkins and the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra (Aug. 14)
TGP holders who purchased tickets for these events will receive credit toward a future ticket purchase (equal to the total of the base ticket prices of each event purchased). The ticket you purchased and reserved seat you already selected remain intact.
Please see below for details regarding the special pre-sale for TGP and Grounds Access Pass (GAP) holders beginning Sunday, June 20.
If you are a Grounds Access Pass (GAP) holder and the additions to the Traditional Gate Pass cause you to reconsider purchasing a TGP, we will gladly upgrade your GAP to a TGP at the discounted pre-June 8 pricing. This transaction must be completed in person at the Ticket Office in the Main Gate Welcome Center or by emailing the Ticket Office at ticketoffice@chq.org and an agent will call you before June 26. We do not recommend calling the Ticket Office for this particular transaction, as wait times will be long this week.

Beginning June 21 on Bestor Plaza, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, on-grounds patrons are invited to visit our vaccination verification station. Bring your gate pass along with a photo ID and a photo of your (or your actual) COVID-19 vaccine card. Staff will verify your vaccination with a sticker to be placed on your gate pass and tickets. If you do not yet have your tickets, we will be hosting vaccination verification daily through the season, including in advance of most Amphitheater events. If you elected to use only an electronic gate pass and/or tickets, we can provide you with a physical verification card that you will need to show to ushers at Amphitheater and Performance Pavilion events, and any other location, such as Chautauqua Cinema, that will require vaccination proof for entry.
