“Big Ideas” captures key insights from Chautauqua Institution’s collection of lectures and programs created during the nine-week Summer Assembly by CHQ Assembly, Chautauqua’s membership-based, streaming platform. Each video distills a single thought from a full-length program into a digestible 3 to 10-minute clip. Instead of watching an hour-long talk, viewers can experience the essence of the program through a concise, focused presentation. By shortening the talks into highlight clips, “Big Ideas” provides a way for anyone, regardless of their connection to Chautauqua, to engage with the Institution’s groundbreaking discussions. 

The videos complement the full-length programs available on CHQ Assembly. While these full lectures are insightful, video series serves as an entry point into larger discussions, perfect for viewers who want to engage with Chautauqua’s content but don’t have the time for the full experience. Best of all, the videos are available to everyone, not just CHQ Assembly members.
