CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. – Chautauqua Institution today announces the highly anticipated annual Food Festival, a celebration of food, music and culture that promises to captivate the senses. This year’s festival is set to take place from August 20–25, offering an array of delectable experiences that showcase the finest in food, beverage and entertainment.
Ultimate Wine and Beer Tasting: A Journey Through Flavor
Wine, beer and spirit enthusiasts are in for a treat at the Ultimate Wine and Beer Tasting event on Sunday, Aug. 20, Noon–6 p.m., where a curated selection of the finest local and international wines and craft beers will be available for sampling. For just $35, you’ll receive a specially branded CHQ Food Festival tasting glass and tasting notes to enhance your experience.
Culinary Delights from Around the World: Food Vendors Galore
The Chautauqua Food Festival brings together a variety of food vendors, each offering a unique culinary journey. From mouthwatering street food to gourmet delicacies, attendees will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of flavors from around the world, all set against the backdrop of the picturesque Chautauqua grounds. Aug. 21–25, Noon–8 p.m. (some vendors may close from 2–4 p.m.)
Soul-Stirring Concerts
At this festival, music and food harmonize to create an unforgettable symphony. Renowned artists from various genres will grace the stage, from jazz to classical, providing the perfect accompaniment to the culinary delights. This year’s lineup includes captivating performances by The Beatbox House, Angélique Kidjo, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Patti LaBelle. Exquisite Chef Tasting Dinners with Acclaimed Chefs
Indulge in the artistry of cuisine as Chef Bruce Stanton and Chef Darian Bryan take center stage with Chef Tasting Dinners. Renowned for their innovation and expertise, these chefs will craft exclusive multicourse menus that showcase their culinary prowess. Guests will have the chance to indulge in gourmet dishes that highlight the finest seasonal ingredients while engaging with the chefs. Tickets are available at tickets.chq.org. Chautauqua Senior Director of Marketing and Analytics and Food Festival Coordinator Vanessa Weinert says the 2023 Festival will feature favorites from past festivals alongside first-time vendors and experiences.

Destination Pass: $10

Morning Program Ticket: $30
Valid 8 a.m.–2 p.m.
Includes all Destination Pass entitlements plus entry to the Chautauqua Lecture Series in the Amphitheater.
Afternoon Program Ticket: $19
Valid Noon–8 p.m.
Includes all Destination Pass entitlements plus entry to Hall of Philosophy lectures and Chamber Music at Lenna Hall on Monday.
Evening Program Ticket: Price Varies
Valid 4 hours before event start time
