About Vanessa
Vanessa Weinert is a seasoned marketing and analytics expert, recognized for her demonstrated history of using advanced analytics and data-centric approaches to foster growth and attain mission-driven objectives across diverse sectors including arts, education, leisure, and travel. Her journey into research and economics was sparked during a project in western China, delving into the dynamics of local and global economies within pottery-producing villages. This ignited her fascination with the profound influence of culture, leading her to immerse herself in the study of cultural and physical anthropology, with extensive fieldwork in China, Turkey, England, and Chicago.
Vanessa believes that anthropologists and researchers possess a unique prowess in marketing, as they inherently grasp the significance of data and harness cultural insights to craft effective strategies. For over eleven years, she has contributed her expertise to the Chautauqua Institution, where she currently holds the position of Vice President for Marketing and Communications.
Vanessa holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cortland, complemented by an MA from Columbia University and an MSc from the London School of Economics.
