About Karen

I’ve had the good fortune to work at Chautauqua Institution as I was winding down my career. Now that I am semi-retired, I work part-time on special projects. I am also a swim instructor for the Recreation department. It is so rewarding to still be a non-management staff member and apply my knowledge in such unique ways.

Focusing on customer service has always been core to what I do. After 16 years in Human Resources and 20 years in marketing, I still enjoy the thank you and smile that good work can generate. My most interesting post semi-retirement job is creating a memorable fan experience as a guest services ambassador for the Buffalo Bills.

Why did you choose to work at Chautauqua? What do you like about working at Chautauqua?

Being part of a major economic driver for Chautauqua County while working for a caring employer is why I like working at Chautauqua.

Competitive swimming and swim coach, waterskiing, gardening
