About Jude
Jude is a part-time technical writer who enjoys all aspects of the job but especially writing procedures and editing anything. She loves working in this part of New York state where there are four seasons. But in her opinion, winter is a lot and shouldn’t be trying so hard this early in 2022. Before moving to New York, she lived in Atlanta where she was a lead technical writer for MEDITECH, a medical software company. She wrote context-sensitive Help and provided general writing classes for testers and software developers. Converting wording from tech talk to language that was easily understood by end-users was particularly rewarding. She has also worked as a process analyst and communications assistant for new systems roll-out for an insurance company’s proprietary rating and customer service programs.
Before going corporate, Jude taught dance at the University of Georgia and Oxford College of Emory University. She also performed with several Atlanta dance groups including Lee Harper & Dancers, Room To Move Dance, and Moving in the Spirit. She has stage managed dance concerts, plays, and musicals at many Atlanta theaters, including 150 performances of Avenue Q at Horizon Theatre. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Northeastern University (Boston, Massachusetts) and her master’s degree in education from the University of Georgia (Athens, Georgia).
