About Jill

Jill McCormick is the director of communications and special projects at Chautauqua Institution. Prior to her work here, Jill worked in the TV news industry as a journalist. She is a storyteller first and foremost and looks forward to sharing the fascinating stories of Chautauqua. She has a passion for the arts and a deep knowledge of pop culture. A proud Hoosier and graduate of Ball State University, this mother of four is also an avid golfer in her spare time.

Why did you choose to work at Chautauqua? What do you like about working at Chautauqua?

I remember covering stores here when I worked in TV news. The moment you walked onto the grounds, you could tell this is a special place. Years later, my daughter was selected to attend a dance intensive at Chautauqua School of Dance, and we were able to get a more personal experience about what it’s like to be on the grounds.

Love to play golf and tennis. I love estate sales and have a passion for architecture.
