About Jennifer
Executive Assistant and Waterfront Manager Jennifer Majewski is responsible for maintaining the waterfront, docks, and boat slips as well as managing and assigning on-ground parking. Her executive duties include assisting Vice President John Shedd with strategic planning, operational excellence, and infrastructure — with innovation, well-being and safety at the forefront.
Jennifer started her career with Chautauqua Institution in 1994 as the Dining Room Manager for the Athenaeum Hotel until she transferred to the Operations Office in 2002.
Why did you choose to work at Chautauqua? What do you like about working at Chautauqua?
I learned about Chautauqua though a family member when I was a teenager. I began working summers and loved the environment so much that I continued working summers until I was asked to become a year-round employee.
Current and Former Volunteer or Board Roles
I volunteer for the Chautauqua Lake Childcare Center. I have been on its board since 2012 and was board president for nine years. I was also the Board President for the Chautauqua Lake PTO from 2009–2018.
Personal Interests
Events of activities my children are involved in, walking and theater. I have four children and have always lived in the area.
