About Erika

Erika began her career with the Athenaeum Hotel in 2022 as a front desk supervisor. She loves working with the guests and her coworkers and enjoys coming to work every day. As the assistant housekeeping manager, Erika works alongside the housekeeping and laundry manager to help create a memorable and clean experience for the guests that stay at the Athenaeum Hotel.

Erika graduated from Paul Smith’s College in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in hotel, resort, and tourism management. During college, she worked at a luxury AAA 4-Diamond resort in Lake Placid and continued to work there until she moved to western New York.

Why did you choose to work at Chautauqua? What do you like about working at Chautauqua?

I chose to work at Chautauqua because it is a different world within the gates. Here you experience so many diverse cultures, identities, and ideas, all within 750 acres! I also love the arts, and this is a perfect place to explore all different forms.

Personal Interests

I enjoy traveling, kayaking, fishing, cooking, baking, and am a houseplant enthusiast!
