The GRAMMY-award winning Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus presents their first concert since the pandemic lockdown began. The program features Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem — a simple prayer for the peace of departed souls — sung in remembrance of the lives lost to the COVID-19 pandemic. To celebrate the joy of safely singing together once again, after nearly seventeen months, the program will close with Antonio Vivaldi’s exuberant Gloria.

The Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the Western New York region through the performance of high-quality, diverse musical programs in the choral arts. With a roster of over 140 singers, the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus is frequently heard as the principal guest chorus of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and were just announced as winners of the 2021 GRAMMY Award in the category of “Best Choral Performance” for their recording of Richard Danielpour’s The Passion of Yeshua.
