The Reverend Janet Broderick serves as the 8th Rector of All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Beverly Hills.

Janet’s ministry spans over three decades, serving as curate, vicar and numerous times as rector in both rural and urban settings, rich and poor, large and small, progressive and traditional. She has inspired vitality, active cooperation, inclusivity, and imagination, leading people to a sincere and honest relationship with Christ and fostering a community of love, courage, and vision. With a good sense of humor and compassion, Janet encourages honesty and humility in those she leads.

Prior to All Saints’, Janet served as Rector of St. Peter’s, Morristown, and guided the parish to find their strength in love poured out by Christ in his life, death, and resurrection; encouraging deep and intimate worship, hands-on outreach to Latino and immigrant populations, rigorous education, responsive work for justice, and passionate heart-felt music.

Previously, Janet was Rector at Grace Van Vorst in Jersey City. She restored the mission and the vitality of the historic urban church with a focus on social justice and support for the arts. Before that, Janet was a curate at The Church of the Epiphany in New York City, a seminarian at St. James Church, and her first rectorship was for a small parish in Westchester, NY.

Janet has been visiting Donegal, Ireland, where her family has a home, since she was ten years old, even apprenticing as a potter there and owning a commercial pottery shop in Manhattan that sold to Barney’s and shops on Madison Avenue. She has been a management trainee at AT&T in Detroit and a drug-rehab counselor in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in History.

Janet is an active community organizer, the founder of Refugee Assistance Morris Partners and Afterschool on South. She has an adult married son, James, working in New York, a daughter, Hannah, recently graduated from Barnard, and a dog named Barney who likes long walks. Janet’s call is to proclaim the gospel, to encourage and release the gifts each soul brings, and to notice and celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit that is happening every day.
