This exhibition featuring new work by Daisy Patton explores female relationships. Abandoned family photographs are painted over to memorialize and serve as an act of remembrance, incorporating ornamentation through dense floral pattern. Women have historically been silenced, limited to a strict gender binary, and valued only for their contributions to domestic spaces, but there is a rich matrilineal history and hidden communities where women have uplifted each other and possessed lives beyond their homes. "Lineages in Bloom" will foster conversation around what we have inherited from these women and imagine new futures where women, and others, are allowed a fuller sense of self.
