As a duo on Chautauqua Chamber Music’s Resident Artist Series, they will perform a selection of works written for one piano shared between four hands, and also works for two separate ‘dueling’ pianos.

In addition to his faculty position at Chautauqua, Martin Dubé has served on the faculties of the Curtis Institute of Music, the Juilliard School, McGill University, and the Québec Conservatory of Music. He is a visiting coach at the Atleier d’opéra de Montréal and an official accompanist for the Montreal International Competition. Kanae Matsumoto is on the music faculty at UCLA as a collaborative pianist in addition to teaching piano and chamber music. As a soloist, her recent performances have included the Schumann Piano Concerto in San Diego and the Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 4 in Palm Springs. Her CD “French Violin Sonatas” was recorded with the late Chautauqua violin faculty member Jacques Israelievitch and released on the Fleur de Son label.
