Young Yeila dreams of being a superstar but her lack of confidence gives her awful stage fright. With advice from her mother and mentors, Yeila begins her journey to find her roots in Cuba, get confidence along the journey, and be amazing. Be ready to dance along in this dynamic participation play where one actress portrays three generations of lively women. Multidisciplinary artist Paige Hernandez is critically acclaimed for her fusion of theater, hop-hop, dance and education. In addition to performing at major theaters across the county, Ms. Hernandez has collaborated with Lincoln Center and received recent commissions from the National New Play Network, the Kennedy Center and the Glimmerglass Festival.
