With great disappointment, we announce the cancellation of Huey Lewis' July 13 concert at the Chautauqua Amphitheater.

According to his representatives, Mr. Lewis has an inner ear problem that is affecting his hearing and his doctor has advised him to cancel all shows for 2018. Chautauqua’s July 13 show is included in the cancellations.

It is not necessary to contact the ticket office. All single concert tickets and preferred seating add-ons will automatically be fully refunded to the original form of purchase, including service charges and parking, within the next seven business days.

Wheels are in motion to bring fans another exciting artist for the July 13 date. Please follow Chautauqua’s social media and website for the latest information about the July 13 show and the entire 2018 Chautauqua Season.

On behalf of Chautauqua Institution and all of our guests, we have expressed our prayers and best wishes for Mr. Lewis’ full recovery, and our hopes that we can welcome him and The News back to the Amphitheater in a future season.

Huey Lewis and The News are truly one of America’s great rock ‘n’ roll bands. As they enter their 38th year together, their contagious brand of music has outlasted countless trends, and is as fresh today as ever. Formed from two rival Bay Area bands in 1979, they continue to thrill audiences worldwide, selling over 20 million albums in the process, earning them the right to mark their place on the pop history map.
