Tuesday/Thursday Lesson Blocks
Every Tuesday and Thursday, we will be offering one hour block of lessons. Each one-hour blocks will have availability for three students of any skill level. These one-hour sessions will be split evenly between the students and each student will receive a customized high speed video analysis along with notes and a plan for improvement. Sign up early or last minute (if there is space available )... this is a great chance to head over the the Learning Center and take advantage of our world class instruction!

Lowest Score Wins® - Practicing the Skills That Matter
Our research shows that certain skills MATTER MUCH MORE than others and this one hour class will have you working on those skills… the golf skills with the highest Separation Value. Becoming proficient at the skills that matter most will help you separate yourself from other golfers and do what every golfer wants… start shooting lower scores immediately! Each week we will focus on a different skill set and each week’s class is GUARANTEED to lower your score.

Read, Bead and Speed - Putting Fundamentals
This one hour class for beginners or more advanced players is for anyone who wants to… well… make MORE putts. We will cover basics of green reading as well as establishing a foundation for improvement in two main areas. Distance control and the stroke mechanics that allow you to hit your intended start line more consistently.

Maximum class size: 12. Minimum age: 12.
Dates: Weeks 1–8 (June 27–Aug. 15)

Saturday Lesson “Blocks”
This season, every Saturday, we will be offering three separate one-hour blocks of lessons from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Each one-hour block will have openings for two students of any skill level. These one-hour sessions will be split evenly between two students and each student will receive a customized high speed video analysis along with Before/After photos, notes and a plan for improvement. Sign up early or last minute (if there is space available )… Saturday morning is a great time to head over the the Learning Center and take advantage of our world class instruction!

Whether you're a professional golfer (AimPoint is used by more than 30 players on every major tour in the world), junior, or amateur golfer, AimPoint Green Reading will transform your game by teaching you the one aspect of putting which is never taught—green reading! Private Golf Lessons

Our PGA Professionals, Dave and Erik offer individual and small group lessons by appointment and make use of every available technology including high-speed video w/ Analyzr Pro, FlightScope launch monitor, SAM PuttLab, SwingCatalyst Pressure Plates and AimPoint green reading. David Wedzik and Erik J. Barzeski are the co-authors of the book, Lowest Score Wins, and also offer playing lessons to improve your course management and scoring skills. Junior Golf Instruction

FUN! It’s what golf is all about! Our clinics and camps are designed, first and foremost, with that in mind and your kids will have a blast learning to play better golf at Chautauqua. It’s important that kids improve as well (we all know that golf is more fun when you’re good at it) and Dave and Erik have each taught multiple state champion golfers and junior golfers who have gone on to receive numerous Division 1 and 2 golf scholarships. The foundation for great golf starts early and our many offerings are a great way to get YOUR junior golfer on the path to success.


Players Junior Golf Camp
If you are an experienced junior golfer who loves the game and really wants to get better, this nine-hour camp is perfect for you. Full swing work will center around the 5 Simple Keys® (the commonalities of the game’s greatest players), and this camp will also include plenty of short game/putting, on-course playing strategies, and scoring secrets (the lowest score wins after all). Player’s “campers” must have previous on-course experience with knowledge of how to keep score (camp assignments can be modified the first day to best fit each individual’s needs). Rain Policy: Class will be held rain or shine though inclement weather could change schedule on a day-to-day basis.

Novice Junior Golf Camp
This camp is a nine-hour golf skills class designed for the junior golfer with little or no experience (either on or off the course).  We will use the Learning Center to work on full swing and short game plus all three  practice holes to  gain golf course experience. Rain Policy: Class will be held rain or shine though inclement weather could change schedule on a day to day basis.

Junior Half-Day Golf Camp
This three-hour golf skills improvement school will use the Golf Learning Center practice tee to work on your swing and our three practice holes to gain golf course experience. Little Kiddos Saturday Golf (ages 4-7)
A FUN-FILLED introduction to the world of golf for our youngest players. We use SNAG golf gear to get your little ones started in the wonderful game of golf (when you sign up, ask about how YOUR kids can hit OUR instructors with golf balls :-D)

Opened in the spring of 2008, our Golf Learning Center is a complete teaching and practice facility. Situated on 25 scenic acres overlooking Chautauqua Lake, the center boasts a 300-yard driving range; two putting greens; a chipping green with fairway, rough and bunker approaches; three practice holes; a support building with indoor teaching spaces, patio and bathrooms; and parking.

Intended to serve golfers of all ages and skill levels, the Learning Center is a non-intimidating environment that’s ideal for families, school golf teams, youth groups and community agencies, as well as individuals. An extensive curriculum of group clinics, junior golf camps and outstanding private instruction is led by PGA teaching professional David Wedzik. Foot Golf is available everyday at the Learning Center, played on the three practice holes for a daily fee of $5.00 per person

Foot Golf is a combination of your two favorite sports, golf with a soccer ball!

All members of the Chautauqua Golf Club receive full access to the Learning Center facility as part of their regular membership. Separate memberships to the Learning Center only may also be purchased.

golf chq 061715 0125The Director of Instruction at The Learning Center is David Wedzik and he currently works with players from the beginner level all the way to players on the largest tours throughout the world. David is a former Web.com Tour member and the 2013 and 2015 WNYPGA Section Teacher of the Year (one of only four others to win this award multiple times). He is the creator of the 5 Simple Keys® Learning System (currently the DVD is the number one selling golf DVD on the market). He is also, along with Erik J. Barzeski, the author of the book many have called “the best golf book ever written”, Lowest Score Wins®. Erik is the Director of Instructor Development for the 5 Simple Keys® system and will be joining Dave as the Head Instructor at the Learning Center.

They will both be available for individual lessons (including the use of high-speed video analysis w/ Analyzr Pro, FlightScope launch monitor, and SAM PuttLab) as well as a series of clinics and longer golf “camps” designed to serve golfers of all ages and skill levels.

Dave and Erik are both AimPoint™ Certified and the Learning Center will, for the first time, offer AimPoint green reading clinics as well. We are extremely excited to have them both as part of the Golf and Learning Center.
